FPR is free to read and free to write for. Readers keep it that way.
No one pays to read FPR, and no student pays to be published in it. There are no advertisements. The journal still has costs every month: the site has to be hosted, and the editors, who are students giving their time, are given something in return.
If the journal is useful to you and you can afford it, you can help meet those costs. Any amount helps, once or every month. This page shows what each month costs and how much has come in.

Editors are students and give their time. This pays for what we give them in return.

The budget grows as the journal does. More pieces mean more editors, and more readers mean a larger hosting bill. Each month’s figures stay on this page, so you can see how the costs have changed.

A monthly contribution helps most, because the costs come every month. You can stop it whenever you like. Payments are not open yet; the amounts show what we will ask for.
S-04What support does not buy
Support buys no say in what FPR publishes. A supporter cannot have a piece accepted, rejected, changed or moved up the queue. The editorial policies apply to everyone in the same way.
Everything stays free to read whether or not you give. Nothing on the site is kept for supporters only.
